Fentanyl Test Strips Kit

Testing heroin or other injected drugs

Add about a 1/4th teaspoon of clean water to the spoon or cooker. Hold the blue end of the strip and insert the opposite end into the liquid. The liquid will travel up into the marked "test area" in less than 30 seconds. Set the strip down for about two minutes before reading the results.

Testing Cocaine, MDMA, or other non-injected drugs

Method #1 (Testing Everything)

It's best to dissolve all of your substance and test it before ingestion (yes, you can inject cocaine). This method covers testing everything before it is taken. There is another method listed below.

If you are testing methamphetamine, add one teaspoon of water (about 5ml) for each 10mg of crystal or powder you are testing. It is important to get this ratio correct because meth gives false positives if it is too concentrated. Specifically, you need to dilute meth down to about 2mg/ml, but not too much more than that. This is about one teaspoon for every 10mg. This method will avoid false positives yet still be able to detect a fatal dose of fentanyl, carfentanil and most other fentanyl analogs.

If you are testing cocaine, MDMA or any drug other than meth, add two teaspoons of water per 100mg of powder. This is approximately 10mg/ml, an ideal dilution to detect fentanyl and most of its analogs in powdered drugs. It also avoids false positives for MDMA. (MDMA can give a false positive at concentrations of 25mg/ml or greater. Only meth and MDMA are known to produce false positives at high concentrations.)

Method #2 (Testing Residue)

This method is not as reliable at method 1 but it is absolutely better than not testing at all. Crush your substance in it's baggies and then empty the powder into another container. Put about a half teaspoon (2.5ml) of water into the baggie and slosh it around the inside of the bag to absorb any residue left from your substance. Hold the blue end of the strip and insert the opposite end into the liquid. The liquid will travel up into the marked "test area" in less than 30 seconds. Set the strip down for about two minutes before reading the results.
