We highly recommend combining Flowlights and the Floytoys Crystal when using them for poi. Although these are very strong, when your spinning poi collides with something (the ground, a person, the other poi ball) it excerpts hundreds of pounds of force. The crystal helps protect your FlowLight!
Leash and Cord Options Explained:
Flowleash System - The flowleash was specifically designed to use Flowlights as poi. It uses a nice ColeCord that feels nice in wraps. The poi attached to the end of this using a loop-through method.
Nyon Cord with Swivels and Quicklinks - This upgrades the attaching hardware with swivels and quicklinks. People like the thinner nylon because it is lighter and thinner - but wraps can be painful! Its also nowhere near as strong as ColeCord.
Colecord with Quicklinks and Swivels - The ultimate leash setup. Using both high quality ColeCord and hardware you arent going to find a better adjustable leash.
Additional Poi Weight Explained:
Flowtoys has produced an amazing little weight called the "Flowmass." This translucent rubber weight can be slipped onto the crystal cases (and only the crystal cases!) to add some additional weight, and also protection, to your flowpoi setup. If you enjoy a little bit heavier set of poi (great for technical play) then this is just what you need.
